About the Missouri Indie Bookshop Tour
Discover Missouri one bookstore at a time! Kicking off on Independent Bookstore Day (April 25), this new statewide adventure invites readers, travelers and book lovers of all ages to journey across the state, exploring independent bookstores, literary landmarks, local businesses and cultural destinations that make Missouri’s communities so unique.
With 34 participating bookstores, each one a vibrant small business or nonprofit fostering creativity, literacy and community, your literary passport becomes a guide to unforgettable stops.
Collect stamps, meet booksellers, support local and enter raffles to win prizes, while celebrating the community impact of independent bookstores.
How it Works
Start the Tour by stopping into one of the 34 participating indie bookshops across Missouri to pick up your free literary passport or download it below by clicking the button.
Visit as many bookshops as you can from April 25 (Independent Bookstore Day) through August 31, 2026. Be sure to collect a sticker on your passport at each bookshop you visit.
The more bookshops you visit, the more chances you have to win prizes!
Leave your completed passport with the last bookshop you plan to visit on or before August 31 to qualify to win the prizes!
